Mr. R Lungile Mabece is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa with commercial and corporate law focus. He is a managing director of Bulumko Corporate Law Advisers and Consultant, with more than 25 years practicing law.

He is a former non-executive chairperson of SAFCOL SOC Ltd. He is also a former non-executive director of State Diamond Trade where he was also a member of the Human Resources and Remunerations Committee. He is currently serving as a non-executive director of Broadband Infraco SOC Ltd where he also served as a member of Audit and Risk Committee, Human Resource and Remunerations Committee, Technology,
Knowledge and Information Management Committee as well as Social and Ethics Committee where he is currently the chairperson.

Mr. Mabece has been specialising in mainly regulated environments, including development of policy and legislation. His expertise includes litigation, drafting of complex contracts, drafting of legislation, legal advice on broad areas of South African law. He is an expert in transport law, ICT law, education and skills development law, public procurement, legislation drafting and corporate governance.Â

Mr. Mabece has also been involved in a number of due diligence investigations, including Transnet Production House privatisations on behalf of the acquiring person (1998), DENEL sale of majority stake in Airmotive (2001), German Tyre Centre (2003), Gomasakho CC on behalf of Mpumalanga Economic Empowerment Corporation, Media Development & Diversity Agency, ICON Bricks, Thaba Auto Electrical& Mining and DATAGENICS.
